Dr. Mahbub Alam works with smallholder farmers on cattle, goat and poultry health. He consults early in the morning so farmers can speak to him before the day's work begins, and keeps his fee deliberately low. Mastitis, foot-and-mouth prevention and deworming programmes are his day-to-day work.
