Dr. Shaila Akter is one of very few avian and exotic-pet specialists practising in Bangladesh. She treats budgerigars, cockatiels, lovebirds, parrots and backyard poultry, and is a regular speaker on responsible bird keeping. Owners of rabbits and other small mammals are welcome too.
"Finding anyone in Bangladesh who actually knows birds is almost impossible. This was worth every taka."
"Very helpful for a first-time owner. I had a long list of questions and every single one was answered."
"Good consultation overall. Connection dropped once but the doctor called back immediately and finished properly."
"So convenient. We live outside Dhaka and the nearest good vet is two hours away. This saved us the whole trip."
"I was nervous about a video consultation but it turned out to be more thorough than the last clinic visit."
"Doctor was polite and clearly experienced. Only wish the appointment was a little longer."
"Booking took two minutes and the whole thing cost less than the rickshaw fare to the nearest clinic."
